    Pressemeddelelse fra Kempower Oyj

    • Kempower will deliver its rapid EV charging technology to ASKO, Norway’s largest grocery wholesaler.
    • ASKO intends to electrify its fleet of around 700 trucks by 2026, so it requires futureproof rapid EV charging technology at its 13 logistics depots.
    • ASKO will choose the charging systems for each site from Kempower’s complete solution portfolio of EV charging hardware and software.

NORWAY – Kempower has signed a framework agreement with ASKO to supply its fast-charging EV technology for the wholesaler’s 13 logistics depots in Norway.

ASKO is Norway’s largest grocery wholesaler and part of NorgesGruppen, a Norwegian grocery wholesaling group that also runs various retail outlets. Sustainability is a central component of the company’s business strategy, and it aims to have an emission-free transport by 2026, including electrifying its fleet of approximately 700 trucks.

Through the new framework agreement, ASKO will have access to Kempower’s full solution portfolio of distributed charging systems with Kempower Satellites and Kempower Power Units, stand-alone Kempower Station Chargers, and the cloud-based charging management software Kempower ChargEye for Depot. Additionally, there is the potential to extend the partnership further in the future to include the provision of chargers for NorgesGruppen’s range of approximately 1800 Norwegian grocery stores.

The two companies signed the comprehensive agreement after ASKO successfully tested Kempower charging system at one of its depots in Norway in 2022. To date, Kempower has delivered chargers to two sites and seven more are being installed this year. By the end of this year, more than 80 Kempower fast charging plugs will be available at nine ASKO locations, covering the entire length of Norway, from Lillesand in the south of Norway to Tromsø in the north.

“It’s fantastic to launch our partnership with ASKO, Norway’s largest food delivery logistics firm.
