Finland is known as the country with the world’s happiest people, and Helsinki is known for its vibrant underground culture and one of the hottest travel destinations in Scandinavia. In 2023 the first Radisson RED hotel will open in Kaisaniemi Park, in the heart of Helsinki city center.
Radisson RED is Radisson Hotel Group’s (upper) upscale hotel brand that presents a playful twist on the conventional. From amazing everyday essentials to Instagrammable moments, Radisson RED delivers a stand-out experience with real urban, bold creative energy.
Radisson RED Helsinki will be designed with the style-savvy guest in mind and will serve as a social hub, with public spaces that invite both guests and locals to relax and connect. The hotel is facing Kaisaniemi Park and Botanic Garden and offers wonderful views over the central park and the city.
The striking architecture and bold interior design of Radisson RED Helsinki will offer an interesting contrast to the prestigious landmark architecture surrounding the new hotel, such as the Helsinki central railway station, designed by the architect Eliel Saarinen, Finnish National Theater, and the world-famous Helsinki public library Oodi. Other hotspots for travelers who want to explore the vibrant urban culture in Helsinki within walking distance include Kallio area, a center for nightlife, Kiasma Museum of Modern Art and Helsinki University main campus.
The hotel will have 196 rooms and a deli-type restaurant. The restaurant terrace facing south into to the popular Kaisaniemi park is expected to attract both guests and locals, especially during the spring and summer months when the park is regularly visited by locals for picnics and various festivals.
Radisson RED Helsinki will be operated by Sokotel, part of S Group Finland, the largest retail group and one of the largest companies in the country. S Group companies are already operating 8 Radisson Blu Hotels in Finland.
