    Cyber Security Nordic includes presentations on business opportunities and the wider social impact of cyber security.

    Leading experts as speakers

    The speakers have experience and expertise in academic research, national defence and the business and NGO sectors.

    Ira A. Hunt retired from the CIA in 2013 after serving in a range of roles for 28 years. Before his retirement, he was the CTO of the CIA. Currently, Hunt is the CEO and cyber security practice lead for Accenture Federal Security. He also runs his own business in the field of data analytics and cyber security.

    Bruce Schneier is an internationally renowned expert in security technology. He is the author of 14 books and hundreds of articles, essays, and academic papers. Schneier is a fellow and adjunct lecturer at Harvard University and a board member in several cyber security organisations.

    Rami Efrati specialises in strategic cyber security methods. He has headed Israel’s national cyber security organisation and served in the Israel Defense Forces for over 20 years. At the moment, Efrati participates in the operations of the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT).

    Adam Segal is an expert on security issues, technology development, and Chinese domestic and foreign policy.His work has appeared in a number of newspapers, such as the New York Times, the Financial Times and Foreign Affairs.

    Jarmo Limnéll is professor in cyber security at Aalto University and an adjunct professor in the University of Jyväskylä, Tampere University of Technology and the National Defence University. He has been working with security issues for over 20 years and published several works on the topic.

    Martti J Kari is a PhD student and university teacher at the University of Jyväskylä. The subject of his PhD study is Russia’s Cyber Threat Perception and Response to this Threat. His rank is Colonel, and he retired from his post as assistant chief of intelligence at the Finnish Defence Forces at the end of 2017.

    Luigi Rebuffi is the secretary general of ECSO (European Cyber Security Organisation) and the founder and senior advisor at EOS (European Organisation for Security). Rebuffi has also served as the advisor to the European Commission for the EU Security Research Programme and as President of the Steering Board of the French ANR for security research.

    Other speakers at the event are Mikael Krogerus, Grant Waterfall, Antti Pelttari, Jose Ahonen and Mikko Heiskanen.
