The Cyber Security Nordic Award is presented to an individual or an actor who has contributed significantly to the development of the cyber security industry, innovated new practices in the field or otherwise promoted cyber security and awareness of the industry in the Nordics or globally.
The new award aims to highlight the importance of digital security. The award winner is selected by a professional jury with the following representatives: Executive Director Juha Remes (Finnish Information Security Cluster FISC), CMO Jyrki Rosenberg (F-Secure), Vice President, Cyber Security Marko Hautakangas (Insta DefSec), CEO Timo Kekkonen (STEK) and CEO Anni Vepsäläinen (The Finnish Fair Corporation).
Cyber threats are among the largest security threats that societies will be facing in the future. Cyber security is one of the fastest-growing high-tech industries in the world. Juha Remes, the Executive Director for Finnish Information Security Cluster (FISC), estimates that for example Finland is at the moment among the five largest countries that provide cyber security services.
-Cyber security is a strongly growing industry with possibilities to develop into a financially significant, leading export item for Finland, Remes says.
Award candidates can be nominated through the Cyber Security Nordic website .
Cyber Security Nordic presents the newest solutions in cyber security for CEO’s, business decision-makers, experts and international visitors, 10-11 October 2018 in Messukeskus, Helsinki.
